Dr. Richard Eade, Vice Chair & Chair of Finance and Business Development
I have been a Governor at Sunnyside since January 2013.
Prior to taking early retirement in November 2011, I was IT Governance Manager at the Nottingham Trent University and served on the Information Systems management team. As well as managing IT Governance across the University, I had responsibility for Risk and Audit management; Financial management; Information Security; Legal issues; Capability Maturity and Assessment; Performance Measurement; Architecture Governance; Supplier Governance; Software Licensing; Asset Management; Change; Test and Quality Assurance; Project approval and prioritisation and Creation of an Operational Plan and Service Catalogue as well as managing g teams of staff. All of these skills have been useful in one way or another during my time at Sunnyside, especially in the time leading up to the school becoming an Academy.
Apart from being a school governor, I am Treasurer at St Barnabas Church on Barncroft (amongst other things there), a member of the Bluecoat Academy Trust, a trustee of the Nottingham Bluecoat School Foundation; I chair the Bramcote Surgery Patient Participation Group and sit on the Patient Reference Group of the Nottingham West Clinical Commissioning Group. I enjoy walking, reading and gardening and have an interest in public transport matters.
